Invitation

The 2019 EITA New Media and New Digital Ventures Workshop (EITA-New Media and New Digital 2019will be held in the afternoon of Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, New York, NY, U.S.A.. The theme of the EITA-New Media and New Digital Ventures 2019 is "The Rise of the New Digital Economy: Trends, Opportunities and Challenges". 

This workshop aims at exploring the new digital economy, understood as the new and emerging forms of production, work, consumption, distribution, and finance ushered in by the diffusion of emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). From the way we work, to the way we consume and pay for products and services, to the rise of new platforms for consumption and collaboration, the economic field is being revolutionised by new digital media. This half day workshop brings together the brightest and most experienced experts in the fields for an immersive half-day of learning, discussion, and connection. 

The main objectives of the EITA-New Media and New Digital Ventures 2019 are:

  • to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in "New Media, Emerging ICT Technologies, and The New Digital Economy.
  • to provide opportunities for the venture community to discuss, understand and evaluate the state-of-the art in cutting edge business and technology solutions. 
  • to bring together emerging and established entrepreneurs, current industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss innovation and disruption over the next decade. 

We invite world class perspectives from research, entrepreneurship, investing, and business transformation, and the workshop aims to capture the deepest insights available within in the New Media and New Digital Economy ecosystem today. We would also invite you to submit proposals (invited talks only) for papers, panels, demonstrations, and SIG discussions. The Conference Review Policy requires that each proposal will be peer-reviewed for inclusion in the conference program and the electronic proceedings.

  

Program

The EITA-New Media and New Digital Ventures 2019 conference consists of five plenary sessions:

 
    • Plenary Session 1 (P1): Nanoelectronics, Photonics, Electronic Smart Systems, Flexible and Wearble Electronics, and Emerging IC Packaging Platform for ICT Systems
    • Plenary Session 2 (P2): 5G Mobile Wireless Technology, Fog Computing and Internet of Things (IoT), Next Generation Internet (NGI), Smart City Technologies, Biometric and Cybersecurity
    • Plenary Session 3 (P3): Emerging Technologies and Applications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Graphics, and Sustainable Smart Manufacturing
    • Plenary Session 4 (P4): Building the Digital Platforms of the Future
    • Panel Discussion & Plenary Session 5 (P5): Computing and Data Infrastructure: High-Performance and High-Throughput Computing, Quantum Computing and Communications, Big Data and Intelligence, Cloud Technologies, and Advanced Software Engineering

Proceedings

All paper submissions must be written in English and will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings (electronic formats) as well as on the EITA-New Media and New Digital Ventures 2019 website. You may download the Proceedings through the Internet. These proceedings serve as major sources in the global high-tech community, reflecting the current state of the art in the disciplines.
