The History and Origin
- The Emerging Information Technology Conference (EITC) was initiated in 1999 by Mr. Michael Hwa-Han Wang, formerly of AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. EITC initially focused only on emerging information technologies and communications.
- Since 2007, EITC changed its name to "Emerging Information AND Technology Conference". Emerging technologies have been added, including artificial Intelligence/machine learning/deep learning, neural networks, data science, cloud computing and data center, new media and next generation Internet, quantum computing and communication, wireless 5G and beyond, new energy, new materials, life sciences/biomedical sciences/medicine, atmospheric sciences, aerospace, business and management, new agriculture, political science and international relations...
- In 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the EITA Outreach (Readers) Forum was launched. The EITA Outreach (Reader) Forum is the perfect virtual event platform for researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs to share experiences and foster collaboration in industry and academia around the world. Virtual events break through physical barriers with one click. Any information from anywhere will be uploaded online around the world. It creates meaningful connections on an international level. Virtual events have become more global, and events have become more accessible and inclusive. When looking at the evolution from live to virtual events, key elements stand out, making it clear that virtual and hybrid events are more than just a solution for the COVID era.
