Where we will meet
The EITC-2009 workshops will be held at MIT Building 4 (Maclaurin Building), rooms 4-145, 4-149, 4-153, 4-159 and 4-163 (all rooms are on the first floor), which are located right next to the Killian court. Access to Building 4 can be made through the main entrance at 77 Massachusetts Ave (Building 7), or directly through Killian court on Memorial Drive (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:MIT_Killian_Court.jpg). Please print a copy of the MIT Campus Map in PDF format for directions.

How to register
Registration for the conference is now open. Please download the registration form (PDF) / registration form (MS Word) and mail in with your registration fee.

Information on Parking around MIT Campus
The only temporary parking
available on campus is located at 139 Mass Ave, next to a Bank of
America ATM machine. It opens at 7 am. The fee is $16/day or $4/hour. Pay
the attendant directly. We suggest you park at your hotel and take
public transportation to MIT if possible because that lot sometimes fills up
during the day.

How to get to MIT, Marriott Boston Cambridge, and Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont
Please note that MIT, Marriott Boston Cambridge hotel, and Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont hotel are easily accessible by the MBTA subway system.
From Boston Logan Airport (BOS) to MIT:
- Taxi- Taking a cab is the most convenient way to get to MIT from the airport. Taxi fare from the airport is about $20-$25. During non-rush hour, the taxi ride will take about 15 minutes. During rush hour, the ride could take 30 minutes or more.
- Subway- From any terminal at Boston Logan Airport, take the Silver Line bus to South Station. At South Station, change to the Red Line subway to Kendall/MIT (inbound toward Alewife). The travel time is around 30 minutes, and the ticket costs $2.
From Boston Logan Airport (BOS) to Marriott Boston Cambridge:

Take the Sliver Line Bus which stops at each Terminal to South Station (all busses return to South Station). From South Station, take the "Alewife Red Line" four stops to Kendall/MIT. Hotel will be directly in front of you as you exit the station.

From Boston Logan Airport (BOS) to Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont:

Complimentary shuttle service is provided from each terminal to the Blue Line Subway station. Take Blue Line from Airport to the Government Center stop, where you will transfer to the Green Line towards Boston College, Riverside, or Cleveland Circle. Remain on train for two stops. Get off at "Boylston St" stop ( you will be on the corner of Boylston St and Tremont) and proceed down Tremont Street two blocks. Hotel will be on your left at 275 Tremont St.

Accommodations in the Boston area can be pricey and very hard to find. To help you plan your visit MIT, we have prepared the following list of accommodations. Please reserve a place BEFORE arriving.
Please note that some hotels are easily accessible by the MBTA subway system.
Short-term Accommodation in MIT Student
Dormitories (cut off date is Monday, July 6, 2009)
- MIT housing office offers short-term accommodation in student dormitories during the summer for event attendees. These include single and double rooms. Room options and pricing information can be found on the MIT's 2009 Summer Guest Housing Rates web page . A non-refundable deposit will be required for reservation.
- If you are planning an extended stay (one week or longer) with family/friends, check out the Craigslist (http://boston.craigslist.org/) or MIT on-campus sublicense (http://web.mit.edu/housing/grad/sublet/sublet-list.html) for short-term sublets in Boston and Cambridge area.
Conference Hotels
The conference hotels of this year (2009) are Marriott Boston Cambridge and Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont with following special rates (Wednesday-Saturday, August 5-8, 2009) for a standard room:
A. Marriott Boston Cambridge at $179/night (single).

- MIT is not within walking distance from Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont hotel (about 3.17 miles). Take the Orange Line subway at the New England Medical Center station close to the hotel to the Downtown Crossing station. At the Downtown Crossing station, change to the Red Line subway to Kendall/MIT.
