- Virtual Meeting

A virtual meeting is when people around the world, regardless of their location, use video, audio, and text to link up online. Virtual meetings allow people to share information and data in real-time without being physically located together. Virtual meetings use video-teleconference (VTC) software, such as Microsoft's Skype, Adobe's Connect, Google's Hangouts and ZOOM to name a few.

- Web Conferencing

Web Conferencing is an online service by which you can hold live meetings, conferencing, presentations and trainings via the Internet particularly on TCP/IP connections. You can connect to the conference either by telephone or using your computer’s speakers and microphone through a VoIP connection. In a web conference, it is common for each participant to sit at their own computer and connect to the web conference via the Internet and a phone or VOIP.

Web conferencing usually allows real time point-to-point communication as well as multi task communications from one sender to many receivers in separate locations. Depending on the service, either an application (additional software) is downloaded and installed or a web-based application is launched in the attendee’s browser. The newest open source technology for Web Conferencing is Google’s WebRTC.

 - Webinar

Webinar is a specific type of web conference that is typically one-way (speaker to the remote audience with limited remote audience interaction). There can also be a live audience in the room with the presenter of the webinar. Polling participation may be integrated into webinars to allow for some remote audience participation.

 - Webcast

Webcast is essentially "broadcasting" over the Internet or streaming. In webcasting, an audio and/or visual content source is distributed simultaneously to multiple viewers/listeners. This content is usually distributed live and is usually non-interactive.

- Wireless 5G - A New Horizon for Meetings and Events

Wireless 5G will be a game-changer for meetings, events, and conferences and the venue managers and organizers behind them. 5G will provide faster data speeds and carry a massive amount of data for a large number of simultaneous users. So users in high-density areas - like airports, stadiums, or urban areas - can still experience the fast speeds and low latency of 5G service,

One of the biggest complaints among meeting and event attendees is slow or lagging Wi-Fi. Wireless 5G will make the that issue obsolete. 5G will make new technologies and services within reach for more venues and help them create better meetings and events.

5G has the potential to establish a seamless platform that enables things like hologram-based keynotes that generate increased audience engagement; real-time analytics that allow us to instantly understand and adjust trade fair promotions that attract more attendees; and streaming AR to mobile devices as a way to make presentation graphics more meaningful,

- The Rise and Popularity of Virtual Events

The event management industry can rightly be divided into two parts: pre-pandemic and post-pandemic. In the unavoidable situation, an alternative solution is urgently needed to sustain education, employment, business, etc.

Webinars and virtual events act as superheroes, providing a virtual platform to stream all live events via mobile phones and laptops. People quickly became accustomed to advances in virtual workflows and environments. There, the era of remote networking has begun.

The COVID 19 situation has turned online business, education, events into daily life. Otherwise, this will be a decade-long process of change. Technology that makes everything simpler, simpler and more advanced. So given the advantages of virtual events, they are more likely to be tolerated by business people, marketers and users even after the world emerges from the pandemic.
